The water-resistance of our SunLite Cap comes from the advanced Bionic Finish^® Eco DWR coating. This coating is biodegradable, fluorine-free, and safe for kids. In addition, the UPF 50+ rating comes from the weave of the fabric. That means it won’t ever wash off or fade away! All Jan & Jul sun hats are safe for kids with no harmful chemicals, dyes, solutions, PFAS, or fluorocarbons.
